Larch is a naturally durable timber, thanks to its high resin content. Our Ember Larch is produced from Highline Larch, sourced from high-altitude, cold-climate areas of Europe to ensure a solid, tight grain structure.

This grain allows the timber to withstand the high temperatures involved in the Ember cladding charring process. Additional brushing and sealing of the boards further enhance their architectural appearance.

This product is made from European larch (Larix), a species known for its expressive grain pattern and characteristic knots. The timber is brushed to remove the soft char and accentuate the natural texture of the grain. Most of the available finishes are brushed, accentuating the natural growth rings & grain, however others have a deep charred texture as achieved when the timber is treated after charring before brushing (only available in black).
