The Granary is a luxury, five bedroom house of a timber frame construction, finished with natural materials of an exceptional quality. A combination of both stone and timber are used on the external walls, complimenting each other and adding to the overall style of the property.
Whilst the Oolitic Limestone stone was sourced from a quarry operated within the Hopkins Estates land holding just 800m away from the site, they chose Hewins to supply the Western Red Cedar cladding. This material was chosen for its untreated finish, meaning the colours will weather down to a beautiful silvery grey in time. The specifically slow growth of this wood results in a very straight lengths with tight grain and very few to no knots, giving a much cleaner and superior appearance. Western Red Cedar is also renowned for its longevity, meaning its appearance will be enjoyed for many years to come.

Natural slate is used on the roof of the double story section with a standing seam roof utilised on the rest of the property. Underfloor heating runs throughout the house, and heat is provided by two air-source heat pumps. Combined with the solar panels and 15 kW’s of battery storage inside the building, the house doesn't only look stunning, but is also very eco-friendly!
