Iroko

Iroko is an extremely durable and stable hardwood with a dense, interlocked grain that offers excellent resistance to decay and insect attack. Sustainably sourced from tropical Africa, it has a rich golden to medium brown colour that darkens over time. Its longevity, strength, and low maintenance make it ideal for premium external cladding.

Recommended Fixings

The interlocked grain is caused by the direction of fibers changing slightly as the tree grows, sometimes leading to a ribbon-like pattern on the surface. The grain is generally wavy and knots are infrequent.

Texture Options

Uncoated

Leaving cladding unfinished is perfectly acceptable. The timber will naturally weather over time and turn silver.

Transitional
Coating

This coating mimics years of natural aging, instantly providing a silver weathered look., preventing uneven weathering and speeding up the natural process.

Maintenance
Coating

Coatings help protect against moisture and UV damage, extending the timber’s lifespan while preserving its natural colour and visual appeal.
